For 20 years, the Ministry Leadership Center has equipped leaders and faith communities for transformational ministry so future generations embody Christ’s love in the world.
Rooted in Faith. Ready for Change.
What began as a vision to support and form youth ministry leaders has grown into a broader movement of leadership development, theological reflection, ministry innovation, and church transformation.
Today, the Ministry Leadership Center brings together the faithful work of CYMT, YMI, and MLI into one unified organization serving Next Gen leaders, senior leaders, churches, nonprofits, and ministry partners across the country.
The work has expanded. The mission remains clear: equipping leaders and faith communities for transformational ministry.
To mark this milestone, we created a special 20th anniversary magazine filled with stories of leaders, alumni, churches, partners, and moments that have shaped MLC’s first two decades.
Inside, you’ll find stories of formation, courage, calling, partnership, and change. These are the kinds of stories that remind us why this work matters.
For two decades, MLC has helped leaders grow in theological depth, practical wisdom, and sustainable ministry. The numbers tell part of the story. The deeper impact is seen in the young people, churches, communities, and leaders shaped through this work.
These numbers represent more than organizational growth. They represent faithful leaders, courageous churches, and communities being shaped by the love of Christ.
MLC’s story has always been a story of people.
It is the story of young leaders discovering their call.
It is the story of churches choosing to invest in deeper ministry.
It is the story of mentors, coaches, faculty, board members, donors, and partners who believed leadership formation could shape the future of the church.
It is the story of faithful communities learning how to grow, adapt, and lead with hope.
Over 20 years, this work has taken many forms: graduate education, certification, coaching, curriculum, consulting, staffing, conferences, ministry tools, and partnerships. But at the center has always been the same conviction that ministry leaders need support, formation, and community for the work ahead.
MLC’s work is grounded in the belief that ministry leadership is more than a set of skills. Leaders need theological depth, spiritual formation, practical wisdom, and relationships that sustain them.
For 20 years, we have walked alongside leaders as they discern calling, navigate change, serve young people, guide congregations, and help communities embody Christ’s love in the world.
The church and world have changed in the past 20 years. The next 20 will ask even more of ministry leaders and faith communities.
MLC is helping leaders face that future with courage, imagination, and hope. Through education, coaching, curriculum, consulting, staffing, and ministry transformation resources, we are equipping leaders and communities for faithful change.
Today, MLC serves leaders and faith communities through a growing ecosystem of programs, resources, and partnerships.

MLC is committed to helping leaders and faith communities meet this moment, not with fear, but with hope.
