Learning doesn’t end when the videos do. Here are a few ways to carry this forward into your ministry.

Put into practice.

Return to the theological rocks you identified. Which conviction do you most want young people to experience through your ministry?

Notice what your ministry communicates.

Share something you’ve been thinking about with another leader, parent, caregiver, or young person. Different perspectives can deepen understanding.

Return when you need it.

You can come back to the videos and reflection questions anytime. New situations often bring new insights.

Keep Growing as a Theologically Grounded Leader

This course offered an introduction to practical theology and a glimpse of what it can look like to bring what you believe about God into conversation with the everyday work of ministry. If you want to keep building your theological foundation and growing as a ministry leader, there are two ways to continue your learning with the Ministry Leadership Center.

Certification in
Youth and Children's Ministry

Build your theological foundation while developing practical skills for serving young people. The Certification Program combines specialized coursework with coaching, community, and support for your particular ministry context.

Through specialized coursework, coaching, peer community, and support for your particular ministry context, you’ll have space to learn, reflect, and grow while continuing to serve. The programs is designed for leaders from a range of backgrounds and ministry roles who want to become more thoughtful, confident, and theologically informed in their leadership.

Master's in Youth Ministry

Ready for deeper theological study? The Ministry Leadership Center’s three-year Master of Arts in Youth Ministry, offered in partnership with Austin Seminary, brings graduate-level theological education into direct conversation with hands-on ministry experience.

Students learn alongside a supportive cohort while receiving specialized coursework, one-on-one coaching, and practical formation. With pathways for both leaders seeking a ministry role and those already serving in a paid ministry role, the program is designed to help leaders deepen their theology without separating learning from the ministry they’re called to do.
