Meet Our Consultants

BIO

Lesleigh (she/her) has been part of MLC since its founding. She holds a BS from Auburn University and a MDiv from Vanderbilt Divinity School and is an ordained Disciples of Christ pastor. A veteran ministry coach and consultant, she has worked with churches and judicatories in urban, rural, and suburban settings of all sizes and denominations across the country, as well as nonprofits. She enjoys the outdoors—especially hiking.

Rev. Lesleigh Carmichael

BIO

Candi Cylar (she/her) holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Tuskegee Univ. and an MDiv from Columbia Theological Seminary. She brings 20+ years of experience across urban and suburban, medium and large congregations in the Southeast and Midwest, serving primarily adults in UMC contexts. A coach and consultant, Candi is Program Director for SBC21 and leads The Candi Cylar Agency.

BIO

Brad is a priest in the Episcopal Church with over twenty years of experience serving churches in Alabama and Texas. He holds degrees from Samford University and the University of the South, Sewanee. Brad has specific training and experience in children’s & youth ministry, school chaplaincy, the catechumenate, and family systems theory. An avid cyclist and animal lover, Brad lives in Birmingham with his wife and children.

BIO

Kevin holds a BA from Marshall University, a MDiv from Lexington Theological Seminary, and a DMin from Phillips Theological Seminary. As an ordained minister in the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), he’s served in urban, suburban and rural churches in Appalachia and the Mid-West. Kevin was a resident in the Lilly Endowment’s Clergy Residency Program and is an alumnus of the Bethany Fellows. He currently serves on the Ministry Team at Lee’s Summit Christian Church.

As a clergyperson in the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, Emily chairs the EcoFaith Summit of the Upper Midwest Organizing Team and the Indian Boarding School Initiative Education Team. She creates contemplative practices and worship arts and was liturgical coordinator for the Lutheran World Federation's 2023 Global Assembly. Emily holds degrees from Luther College, Luther Seminary, and United Seminary-Twin Cities. She serves as an ecumenical innovations consultant at The Ministry Lab (theministrylab.org)

Rev. Emily Meyer

BIO

Katye (she/her) is an ordained Deacon in the United Methodist Church with experience in congregational leadership and theological education. She holds an MDiv from Garrett Seminary in the Chicago area and a BA from SMU in Dallas. Katye is passionate about ecumenical and interfaith work and believes in the power of stories to transform lives and communities. She lives in Arkansas and is the mom of twin boys.

Mark (he/him) holds a BBA in marketing from The University of Texas and has spent more than 20 years on staff at Memorial Drive UMC in Houston, TX. Mark and his team participated in MLC's Ministry Transformation Lab and he is passionate about youth culture and helping students discover and develop a meaningful relationship with Jesus. Mark shares life with his wife Becky and son Jake and loves music, sports, and preparing delicious meals.
