Theological Blueprints for Youth Ministry Remodeling

Making change in youth ministry is easy, but making effective change that’s theologically grounded and practically effective is difficult. In the course Advanced Studies in Youth, Church and Culture, the Center for Youth Ministry Training’s (CYMT) graduate residents use cultural analysis and theological reflection to imagine revisions and changes to their youth ministries. As they follow a practical theological process students move from describing what is, to envisioning what should be. The final result is a practical “blueprint” that prescribes specific theologically guided changes while also taking account of the practical realities they’ll need to overcome to implement change. Each blueprint is crafted for a specific situation and context, but we hope your theological and pastoral imagination will be stimulated as you read these solutions written by other youth ministers.
