Youth Ministry Council Covenant

Objective

To serve with the youth director to ensure all programmatic aspects of [insert church name] youth ministry are operating smoothly and effectively so that the church’s responsibility for the Christian nurture of its youth may be met.

Our Covenant Includes:

  • Meeting once a month (date and time to be determined each year by the chair and council members)
  • To work collectively to oversee the youth ministry including Sunday evening activities and Wednesday night small groups, as well as special events.
  • To assist the youth director in the recruiting of all volunteers needed for youth ministry programs and events.
  • To ensure that youth ministry volunteers are trained and equipped for ministry.
  • To set policies for the youth ministry and oversee the youth budget.
  • To serving the youth ministry program as a major event coordinator or as a hands on volunteer each year.
  • Praying weekly for the youth and leaders of the youth ministry program of [insert church name].
