Purpose: To lead the youth and college age ministries in such a way that promotes and encourages discipleship of Jesus Christ and fulfills the mission, vision, and values of Emmanuel UMC. In addition, help to develop the connection between youth, families of youth, and college age young adults to the ministries of Emmanuel UMC.
Time: Full-time with a compensation of $45-50,000 based on experience. Health insurance and pension contribution available.
Accountability: Directly accountable to the Staff-Parish Relations Committee and a staff supervisor as assigned by the Staff-Parish Relations Committee.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Must profess the Christian Faith and a willingness to maintain a working knowledge of United Methodist polity, theology, and doctrine; Must have a vision and a demonstrated ability to plan, develop, coordinate, manage, and implement youth/college age ministry within the parameters of the United Methodist Church; must have organizational skills; must have written and verbal communications skills, conflict management skills, and computer skills (including relevant social media maintenance); must be financially minded and responsible; must pass a criminal background check and a credit check if determined necessary; must maintain good physical and spiritual health and have the physical ability to perform the job requirements; must possess the ability to work effectively with diverse individuals and volunteers.
