Job Summary

Description

The Middle School Ministry Coordinator nurtures faith formation for youth in grades 6–8, working with staff, volunteers, and families to provide Christ-centered education, fellowship, and spiritual growth opportunities. This role maintains existing programs while also creating new ways for youth to engage in worship, service, and community life.  Contact Lorianne Alexander to apply – lalexander@myersparkpres.org.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead weekly activities, retreats, mission trips, and special events for middle school youth.
• Build relationships with students (grades 5–9) and their families through pastoral care, communication, and engagement.
• Guide youth leadership development and collaborate with adult volunteers.
• Welcome and connect rising 6th graders and their families into youth ministry.
• Communicate ministry activities through newsletters, social media, and other channels.
• Partner with staff and lay leaders to grow a vibrant youth ministry

Desired Skills

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience with youth (church setting preferred), or equivalent combination.
• Committed follower of Jesus Christ with a heart for discipleship.
• Knowledge of Presbyterian Church (USA) and Reformed Tradition.
• Strong relational, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively across multiple platforms.

Salary

53,500 – 58,000
