What does success look like at Salina United Methodist Church?

Salina UMC is looking for a Next Gen Director who thrives on building relationships—someone authentic, approachable, and energized by walking alongside young people in their faith journeys. As our first combined minister in this area, you’ll bring leadership and long-term direction to ministries that have strong foundations and plenty of room to grow.

THE FOLKS AT SALINA UMC ARE:

  • Mission-Focused and Community-Oriented
The church has a strong heart for missions—both locally and beyond. Whether through direct financial support, community assistance, or programs like MomCo for preschool families, the church consistently seeks ways to serve. The building is intentionally open to the community, reinforcing the church’s role as a welcoming and supportive presence. Opportunities to get involved in missions are plentiful, and the congregation embraces them.
  • Welcoming and Vibrant
Hospitality is a core value here. The church offers a warm, welcoming environment across all ages, fostering deep relationships through potlucks, Sunday morning fellowship, and consistent care for one another. Worship is rooted in scripture, supported by strong preaching and a dynamic music ministry. Adult Sunday School classes and Bible studies offer ongoing opportunities for spiritual growth and connection. There’s also a healthy culture of lay leadership and volunteering, showing a willingness to participate and grow together.
