Description

This is a part-time ministry position (20-25 hours a week) that focuses on spiritually feeding the Meadow Brook preschool-age children through gospel-centered, biblical teaching in both large group and small group settings. The director will guide the Meadow Brook preschool-age children to participate in God’s mission for his people by applying the vision of Meadow Brook Baptist Church to the preschool ministry. This position will care for the overall wellbeing and spiritual growth of the church by caring for preschool children and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all preschool programs and activities, including Sunday School, Bible studies, mission education, worship care, childcare, special programs and activities, and Wednesday night activities.
  • Establish and lead a Preschool Ministry Team to support this ministry.
  • Ensure that all preschool ministries are giving biblical instruction in agreement with the mission, values, and vision of MBBC.
  • Coordinate recruiting and training of all preschool ministry staff and volunteers.
  • Work with the Children’s Minister and Family Ministry Team on major church events involving children and families.
  • Maintain a system of outreach and follow-up for guests/prospects in the Preschool Ministry.
  • Coordinate paid childcare workers for ministry events, when needed.
  • Plan and lead activities and events for preschool-age children that are consistent with the overall mission, values, and vision of Meadow Brook Baptist Church.
  • Evaluate and order curriculum for the various preschool ministry needs.
  • Assist the Lead Pastor in scheduling and preparing for baby dedications.
  • Work as part of our Family Ministry Team to ensure consistent language, goals, and efforts to equip parents to teach and train their kids in the gospel.
  • Full support and adherence to Meadow Brook’s Child and Student Safety Procedures.
  • Leadership and accountability in ensuring volunteers/staff serving in the Preschool ministry fully meet initial and ongoing screening requirements.
  • Prepare an annual preschool ministries budget for recommendation to the Stewardship Committee and oversee these annual budget expenditures.

  • A four-year college degree is highly desired.
  • Previous experience working with preschool-age children
