Description

Youthfront is seeking a strategic relationship builder who can recruit, engage, and support young people (ages 13-29) in service opportunities while ensuring these experiences deepen their faith. This role is ideal for someone who loves volunteer coordination, measuring impact, and fostering faith-driven service experiences in Kansas City, KS, Youthfront’s camps, and programs focusing on food insecurity and incarcerated youth.This role is supported by a new national grant initiative (2024-2029).

Responsibilities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Bachelors Degree or Equivalent Experience

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 

  • Driver’s License Required
  • Spanish language fluency preferred
  • Other: Willing & able to drive a 15 passenger van with students

Work closely with the Youthfront Neighborhood team and ministry leaders to:

  • Recruit youth and young adults (from churches, colleges, or other groups) to participate in faith and service opportunities
  • Implement and lead initiatives for youth and young adults that bring together service with faith formation, including:
    • Assist with and recruit young adult volunteers for service in programs including Youthfront’s afterschool program for elementary students, its middle/high school youth group and the Snack Shack KC, its youth center in KCK, or Youthfront’s Pathways program serving incarcerated youth and teen parents.
    • Facilitate monthly service days in the Argentine neighborhood of Kansas City, KS and occasional evening learning experiences.
    • Host and coordinate onsite service teams of college students in both KCK summer & spring break) and at Youthfront’s ministry site in Mexico (1-2 weeks/year)
    • Coordinate and facilitate shared meal experiences between young adults and immigrant neighbors.
  • Coordinate the meal packing community service project for all Youthfront summer campers, and training of staff and volunteers to lead packing sessions.
  • Oversee the process of enhancing the formational content to align with service opportunities.
  • Lead or assist with formational experiences and reflections for volunteers and participants
  • Manage, track and steward volunteer relationships and organizational partnerships
  • Track and communicate program outcomes and data to Youthfront leadership and grant administrators for the program
  • Assist Youthfront Neighborhood team with events, youth service projects, seasonal programming and fundraising initiatives as assigned
  • Attend Youthfront corporate and team meetings

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with organization-wide fundraising initiatives
  • Attend and help at ministry sponsored events
  • Represent the organization, its interest, and programs
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with clients, vendors, and partners
  • Follow all procedures and policies as outlined in the staff handbook
