Youth Director

At First Lutheran Church our vision is to share God’s amazing grace by welcoming, growing and serving in Christ’s name, enriching the well-being of all. The congregation is called to community outreach and celebrating diversity and uniqueness. This position needs to support, advocate for, and strengthen the youth ministry. 

The Youth Director will primarily be responsible for supporting and developing participation in middle school and high school youth: education, fellowship, service, and building relationships. This will be accomplished through a multitude of programs: First Communion, Confirmation, summer mission trips, ELCA Youth Gathering, and other local community events. 

The Youth Director will be working in collaboration with the Pastor and our dedicated team of volunteers. It is heavily encouraged to become a part of congregational life and local community culture. This creates opportunities to establish relationships and a deep foundation with our youth. The Youth Director needs to be an established leader, preferably with prior youth ministry experience, and a degree in a related field. Must demonstrate a theology and values in harmony with the congregation’s mission, vision, and values.
