Session Four Reflection Questions

Use the four questions introduced in this session to work through one situation in a ministry setting you know. You can also use the video’s example about who gets invited to lead.

  • What is happening? Describe what you’ve observed about the situation. Separate those observations from your assumptions.

 

  • Why is it happening? Consider the experiences, habits, or expectations that could be influencing what you see. Note what you’d need to learn to understand the situation more fully.

 

  • What ought to be happening? Return to one of your theological rocks. Describe what the situation could look like if that conviction shaped how people were treated.

 

  • How might we respond? Identify one change you could make or suggest that would better reflect that conviction.
